On March 30, 2025, Laki saw the light of day – as fast as lightning, just like he now races joyfully across the paddock. Named after the powerful Icelandic volcanic crater Laki, which once made history, he too possesses a strength and elegance that has changed our world from day one.
His sire is Motivator, a champion (Epsom Derby 2005) and sire of, among others, the famous Treve (2 x Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe), who stands for toughness, stamina, and class. His sire, in turn, is Montjeu, one of the most influential sires of his generation, who has left a lasting legacy in racing with countless top horses.
