With the first warming rays of sunshine, a very special moment is approaching: our two top broodmares, Wishing Well (GB) and Lady Vivian (FR), are currently enjoying peaceful days in the paddock – and the last few weeks before the birth of their foals, which we expect in early April.
Wishing Well (GB) was covered by Amaron (Shamardal) for the second time. This was a conscious decision, as the recipe for success of this combination has already proven itself: Wellem, a young stallion from this very pairing, is already impressive in terms of breeding (conformation/temperament). The best bloodlines come together here – reason enough to continue on this promising path.
Lady Vivian (FR) was covered by Waldpfad, also a son of Shamardal. We see Waldpfad as the ideal partner for Lady Vivian: his powerful conformation complements her elegance perfectly. In addition, with this pairing we are pursuing a clear and proven breeding strategy – the combination of Giant’s Causeway (via Waldpfad) with Urban Sea (via Lady Vivian) stands for performance, class, and sustainability in the pedigree.
Now it’s time to keep our fingers crossed. We hope for two healthy foals and that both mares will enjoy a summer full of happiness, vitality, and the joy of offspring.
